Simply open a DBS Wealth Account with HK$30,000 or above to get an entry into our lucky draw to win the following fabulous prizes. Lucky draws will be held once every 3 weeks. Customers who have not won the prizes will automatically enter into the remaining draw(s). The earlier you open a DBS Wealth Account, the more chances you will get to win the prizes.
 
 

 

Terms and Conditions:

1. The promotion period for the above offers is valid from 14 July 2008 to 30 September 2008 ("Promotion Period"), both dates inclusive.
2. The above promotion offers are only available to customers who do not have any DBS Wealth Account or Treasures Priority Banking Account and do not have any Securities Account (primary or secondary account) with DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the "Bank", which expression shall include its successors and assigns), in either single or joint name within the previous 3 months prior to the commencement of the Promotion Period ("Customer").
3. Terms and Conditions governing the lucky draw:
Customer who opens a DBS Wealth Account with HK$30,000 or above or its equivalent and maintains a monthly average account balance (including deposits and investments) of HK$30,000 or above or its equivalent ("Eligible Customer") will be entitled to 1 lucky draw entry. Only primary account holder will be eligible to the lucky draw.
Eligible Customer who opens a new Securities Account during the Promotion Period will be entitled to 1 extra lucky draw entry.
There are altogether 4 lucky draws and each will be held once every 3 weeks. The lucky draw dates are 8 August, 29 August, 19 September and 10 October 2008. The results will be posted on the Bank's website (www.dbs.com/hk) 5 working days after each draw date. Winners will be notified within 1 week after the lucky draw result announcement. Lucky draw records of each draw, except those of the winners, will be carried forward to the remaining draws after each draw. For example, the lucky draw on 19 September 2008 will cover lucky draw records from 14 July to 13 September 2008 and the lucky draw on 10 October 2008 will cover lucky draw records from 14 July to 30 September 2008.
Each Eligible Customer will only be entitled to 1 prize. The Bank reserves the right to use the winners list as well as all related information (including, but without limitation, information of the winners) and photos of the prize presentation ceremony for promotion purpose.
All prizes and coupons are available while stocks last. The Bank reserves the right to replace them with alternative comparable items without prior notice. All prizes and coupons cannot be exchanged or cannot be redeemed for cash. Photos of prizes are for reference only. The coupon will be subject to futher terms and conditions by the supplier. The Bank is not the supplier of the prizes and coupons. Any enquiry or complaint for the quality of the products or the services provided relating thereto should be directed to the relevant suppliers. The Bank shall assume no liability in respect thereof.
Only those Customers who maintain a valid DBS Wealth Account on the dates of the lucky draw and prize redemption are eligible to the lucky draws.
Bank staff and the advertising agencies in relation to this promotion are not eligible to the lucky draws.
If the DBS Wealth Account is closed within 3 months of its opening, a handling charge of HK$100 will be levied and the Bank reserves the right to deduct the value of the prize from Customer's account.
4. $2,000 Dollar / HK$2,000 SOGO Coupon ("Coupon"):
Winner who has a valid during the Promotion Period will be entitled to receive $2,000 Dollar. Only primary card holder will be entitled to Dollar.
If winner does not have a valid , he / she will be entitled to the Coupon.
Relevant Dollar will be credited to the specified account of the winner on or before 31 August 2008 and reflected in the statement. The Dollar and Coupon cannot be exchanged / redeemed for cash.
5. The Maldives Travel Package ("Maldives Package"):
The Maldives package includes 3-nights accommodation at Banyan Tree Maldives Vabbinfaru ("the Hotel") Oceanview Villa with full board, 2 round-trip economy class air tickets between Hong Kong and Maldives via Singapore on Singapore Airways (subject to stipulated flight schedules) and 0.3% TIC levy charged by Travel Industry Council.
The Maldives Package is arranged by an independent travel agency.
The Maldives Package is valid between 1 November 2008 and 30 April 2009.

The Maldives Package is only offered to the winners. The Maldives Package cannot be transferred to any third party and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Further details of the Maldives Package, together with its terms and conditions, will be specified in the redemption letters, addressed to the winners.
6. Fraud and abuse will result in forfeiture of a Customers eligibility to participate in this promotion as well as cancellation of a Customer's account. The Bank further reserves the right to deduct the equivalent value of any prizes awarded directly from the Customer's bank account without prior notice and / or take legal action in such instances.
7. A monthly service fee of HK$50 will be charged if the monthly average account balance (including deposits and investments) falls below HK$30,000 (or its equivalent).
8. The Bank reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the above offers, and / or modify or discontinue any offer at any time without notice. In the event of dispute, the decision of the Bank shall be final and conclusive.
9. In the event of discrepancy or inconsistency between this English version of the terms and conditions and the Chinese version, the English version shall prevail.
